So, where is our snow? We've had about 12 inches total in Pinetop as opposed to our usual 100" per season. We're all hoping to see one of those 3 foot snowfalls in March, if not sooner! Or a very rainy spring would be nice. Our forest needs the moisture!
The nice thing about a mild winter has been that real estate activity has not slowed down at all. Buyers are still coming to the mountains to look at property. With a reduced winter inventory, the sellers that have kept their properties on the market through the winter months are enjoying the benefits of this buyer activity.
As for market activity, I'm very enthusiastic about what 2014 will bring. We're still seeing some foreclosure and short sale activity in our market but not nearly to the extent as in the past several years. Prices have become more stable and are even creeping up a little bit. This is great news for sellers!
